Become certified Microsoft Academy and granted license to partner with distinguished learning institutions towards training and certifications.

We hosted the German embassy vocational training in Ogun State (GIZ) for a 3 months vocational summer training; held at MerrionIT Training Facility, Alaba Lawson Center, Kuto Abeokuta. 300 participants sponsored by the Ogun state government were trained and certified in various technical skills including ICT.

Certifications for the HP Adobe was accredited for the company and students were presented same year end for international exams. Over 100 students were presented for certifications and 80 came out successful and received certificate awards.

The IC3 (Internet and Core Computing Certifications) curriculum was deployed as a train the trainer initiative across South-West Nigeria.

The training was done through the newly developed virtual learning platform (MERRION VLE). The test run was successful and eventually deployed the following year.

Shuleya; the first VLE and exam testing suite was deployed for the UTME examination prep engine. The center for the test was our 500 capacity CBT center at the Solid Rock Academy Iperu Remo Ogun State where selected students across registrations were invited to come test run the exam engine and learning environment which graded and analysis of performance was simulated real time on completion of exam session

Merrion launched the robotics and steam program for integrated electronic and internet of things learning for learners enrolled across our centers, staff members were sent abroad for specialized trainings and Arduino kits, were ordered for facilitation of this class sessions. Merrion limited is the first IT learning organization in Nigeria to deploy IOT and mechatronics as a course to learners in secondary schools. The same year, exhibitions were proposed after the students developed bespoke projects.

The first Merrion Hackathon held during summer in 5 locations across Nigeria; Benin, Kano, Portharcort , Abuja and Minna. The turnout was impressive although not massive but it signaled the beginning of summer education trend for  real technology.

Second hackathon held in Abuja and this time we had participating schools; Danbol schools from Kaduna, El Amin from Minna, intercontinental from Kano and Capville schools from Abuja. They all presented real- life problem solving projects.

We launched the IT education for all initiative where we reached out to less privileged public school and we donated infrastructure and commenced the train the trainer initiative to sustain STEAM participation and improve technology.
